  • What do you do?
    Suds4Palestine is a grassroots initiative dedicated to supporting Palestinians in Gaza, as they work to survive and rebuild amidst ongoing Israeli aggressions. Over the past year, many Palestinians in Gaza have lost their homes, livelihoods, and possessions. By now, many have faced not one but multiple displacements. To make matters worse, import and aid restrictions have now led to dramatic increases in daily expenses. Today, 96% of Gaza's 2.15 million residents are food insecure.
  • How did Suds4Palestine start?
    Recently, many Palestinians have turned to online fundraising as a lifeline to combat the artificial scarcity imposed by Israel. After connecting with several Palestinians in Gaza and recognizing the immense need, we felt compelled to act. We created Suds4Palestine to provide sustained humanitarian support through both online and community-based fundraising initiatives.
  • Where is the soap from?
    We partner with the Palestinian Soap Cooperative, a Palestinian and American member-owned company, to offer The Camel (al-Jamal; الجمل) brand soap bars. Sourced directly from the Al-Shakaa Soap Factory located in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, these soap bars are a testament to the endurance of Palestinian tradition, culture, and craftsmanship amid years of displacement, genocide, and violence.
  • Does Suds4Palestine have staff in Palestine?
    Suds4Palestine is still volunteer-run. As, such we do not have full-time staff in Palestine. As we grow, it will be our central focus to employ and contract Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank to carry out community initiatives and distribution programs.
  • Who gets aid from your organization?
    Each month, we utilize our profits to fund various activities, including: Money transfers to individuals and families with high needs Distribution of food and essential supplies Provision of medical supplies Contractual employment for locals in Gaza to support Suds4Palestine initiatives
  • How do you know and verify the families who receive direct aid?
    Sadly, families in Gaza have to make social media accounts to ask for help from around the world. We have interacted extensively with all families to whom we directly send money. Prior to sending money, we research their social media accounts, engage in lengthy conversations, and verify their identities with trusted sources from within Gaza. GoFundMe also completes verification of our contacts and their adult family members.
  • Can I request aid for a family in need?
    Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to donate directly to all families in need so we cannot accept requests. If this changes in the future, we will sure to make an announcement.
  • What areas of Palestine do you cover?
    Currently, we are working with partners in Khan Yunis. As our team and resources grow, we seek to expand to North Gaza, West Bank and beyond.
  • Do you coordinate with other NGOs or initiatives in Gaza?
    We are currently building relationships with various groups that operate on-the-ground in Gaza. As our operations grow, we will establish more formal partnerships and collaborations with NGOS and initiatives. Please contact us if you'd like to collaborate at admin@suds4palestine.com

  • What percent of profits goes toward aid in Gaza?
    100% of profits provide relief to individuals, families, and community initiatives in Gaza. Moving forward, we are committed to working with Palestinian businesses and community members for our projects and development, ensuring they are part of our growth and efforts to make a lasting impact
  • Do Suds4Palestine staff make money from sales?
    The team at Suds4Palestine currently works entirely on a volunteer basis.
  • What funding sources does Suds4Palestine have?
    We rely entirely on grassroots donations and fundraising from comrades like you. Please share widely with your friends and family.
  • Can I donate directly to a family?
    Yes, we have compiled a small list of families with whom we have extensively interacted. Please visit the About Our Families section to learn more.
  • Can I return my soap?
    We are a small operation and are unable to accommodate returns at this time. If you have an issue with your order or soap, please contact us at suds4palestine.com

  • How long does shipping take?
    About 3-5 days at most. We use USPS Ground Advantage
  • Where do you ship to?
    We ship to the contiguous United States and Puerto Rico.
  • Are there any allergens or ingredients I should be aware of in the soaps?
    Our Nabulsi soaps are made from natural ingredients, primarily olive oil, water, and sodium compounds derived from natural sources. They are free from artificial fragrances and dyes. If you have specific allergies or sensitivities, please refer to the ingredient list provided on our product page or contact us for more details.
  • How should I store my soap?
    To prolong the life of your soap, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a soap dish that drains well will help prevent the soap from becoming too soft and will extend its usability.
